Have you ever been in the position of wanting to manifest something, but it just doesn’t appear, despite your best efforts? If the law of attraction doesn’t work for you, there are a number of things that can get in your way.
So before throwing in the towel, here are a few things you may want to ask yourself to understand why the law of attraction doesn’t work.
Don’t hesitate to use them the next time you wonder why the law of attraction doesn’t work for you:
1. Am I limiting my beliefs?
Limiting beliefs are a really big reason why many of us have a hard time getting the things we want in life. Essentially, a limiting belief is an excuse that we tell ourselves why we can’t have the things we want. For example:
- “I’m not thin because I eat junk food.”
- “I can’t find a man because all the good ones are taken.”
- “I don’t have enough money for this.”
Always remember that with the law of attraction, everything (yes, literally everything) is possible. So you can lose weight and eat junk food. You can find a good man anywhere. Extremely expensive things can fall on your lap without you having to spend a cent.
So if you’re having trouble manifesting something, one of the first things I recommend you do is ask yourself, “Is there any excuse I am making for why I can’t have this that I want?”
2. Am I letting the Universe handle the details?
I have to admit that I can be a bit of a control freak so this is one of the areas I get hooked on from time to time. Many of us have been brought up to believe that we have to make things happen, and often it gets in the way of what’s going on for us! The law of attraction works most easily when we let go of control and allow the universe to do its job.
There is an infinite number of ways in which any dream can come true. Choosing the “right path” just isn’t a good job for us because we just can’t see how all of the moving parts will fit together.
However, the universe has a much broader view, and that is why it is better to leave the details of the universe. Remember, our job is just to ask and then to believe.
3. Do I have high vibration?
Maybe you let the universe handle the details and you have eliminated all limiting beliefs. However, if your vibrations are weak, the things you want will stay out of reach. Do you not know how high your vibration is?
Do your best to increase your vibrations when you can, and you will manifest the things you want more easily. Make an effort as often as possible to listen to upbeat music, smile, laugh, and do the things you enjoy.
Now, that does not mean that you are not allowed to be sad when you are sad. Of course, you are, and of course, you will be from time to time! In fact, when you’re sad, it’s always best to kiss the pain in order to overcome it as quickly as possible.
A lowered vibration is a temporary state that can be overcome. Let your vibration be what it is without judging or making you feel guilty, but make it a goal to take daily steps to improve it when you feel up to the task!
4. Have I let go yet?
It is often the most delicate piece of the puzzle for most people with whom I have spoken about the law of attraction. When we get hooked on “having” the things we want, we actually create resistance and keep them away from us.
Here’s the thing, when we have something, we don’t care when it’s going to happen to us, right? So if you have a best friend, you are not worried about not having a best friend. You are in the resonance of having a best friend because you are not focused on the absence of a friend.
Therefore, when we don’t have something we want, we have to find a way to make peace in the absence. In fact, the moment when we really let go and we say “it’s okay if it never comes to me” is often the exact moment when it happens.
It’s a bit of a paradox, I know. But letting go is one of the most important keys to mastering the law of attraction. If you’re struggling with this part of the equation, start looking for evidence of this paradox in your life.
For example, note that when you give up searching for your keys, they appear right in front of you. Become aware of the times when you stop trying so hard to win over someone’s affections and suddenly they are kinder to you. These things happen to all of us, often daily, so there is a lot of evidence to observe and recognize.
By becoming more aware of this phenomenon, it will become easier for you to really let go of each of your intentional manifestations. Suddenly, releasing expectations and keeping pace becomes the most logical decision in life.
So remember that when something doesn’t show up, go through this list of questions. Are you free of limiting beliefs, are you letting the universe manipulate the details, are you in a high vibrating space and have you made peace with its absence yet? If you can honestly say “yes” to each of these questions, your dream will come true.
