7 Weird Things You May Have Noticed About Authentic Empaths

The truth about genuine empaths is stranger than fiction. Although they sound like characters from a new supernatural, empaths are normal people like you and me. However, they do have some additional “quirks” that you may have noticed.

1. They take on people’s energies:

It’s not something they do on purpose, but empaths tend to take energy from those around them. If they see you cry, they will also start crying too.

This even applies to watching something emotional on television; empaths are emotional conduits.

2. They have a highly developed intuition:

Everyone has some form of intuition, or gut reaction, as most people refer to it. The difference with authentic empaths is that their intuition is at an extreme level.

It is actually a very unique skill that has been perfected and perfected, that the general public does not seem to possess. Empaths can know how you feel, what your intentions might be, and understand what you think as if they were an extension of your personal being.

3. They can’t stay around people for a long time:

Empaths have a hard time staying too long with people because their energy is easily drained. They give themselves so much to others that they end up feeling tired and exhausted.

It is easy for them to want to help others, but in doing so, they generally leave little to no energy to themselves. Sometimes this can lead to feeling angry, frustrated or irritated and not knowing why.

Empaths will have to learn to step back sometimes and save energy for themselves. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself first.

4. They attract damaged people:

It feels good to help someone, doesn’t it? Yes of course. And empaths love this feeling. It invigorates their souls to help someone find peace and healing.

Unfortunately, not everyone wants to be cured, and some people actually prefer to live in a toxic sump of chaos. We call them narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths, but in the end, they are manipulative personalities attracted by empaths.

5. They can’t stay in big crowds:

It may sound strange, but not for an empath. They are confused with introverts but the similarities between an empath and those who prefer to remain in solitude stop almost there.

Empaths enjoy the company of others, but not crowds. The loud noises and conflicting energies of so many people can be overwhelming for an empath.

6. They must live near nature:

You know how the saying goes. Location, location, location. And nothing is better than a place where an empath lives. They need nature, otherwise, they will go crazy.

The hustle and bustle of city life can drain them until they feel completely hopeless. They know they cannot save the world, but living with too many people will make them feel compelled.

They, therefore, choose to live in smaller areas, closer to nature when they need to recharge their batteries and rekindle their inner flame.

7. They are amazing lie detectors:

Do not try to lie to them because they know better. Even before you open your mouth, they can see what’s coming.

Empaths have an incredibly strong sense of intuition, they feel your lies when you say them, not just hear them. It is not worth risking a friendship or a relationship with these kind-hearted souls. Be honest, they are extremely understanding individuals.

These are just a few of the incredible traits of authentic empaths, but the bottom line is that they are very sensitive souls, who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.
