So when you find yourself thinking, “I will feel better if I drink a beer, eat a donut, smoke a cigarette, buy new jeans,” ask yourself if it will really make you feel better.

2. Do good for other people.

The statement “when I do good, I feel good” really works. For some, doing good at a difficult time is the only way to feel better.

3. Distract yourself.

Do something completely not related to your problems and how to solve them.

4. Seek inner peace through outer order.
