4 Rare Superpowers that every Empath has but Does not Know

As an empath, your sensitive nature can sometimes overwhelm you, especially when the energies of your environment are difficult to contain. But before thinking about the disadvantages of being an empath, consider the rare superpowers that only you can have. You may even want to sharpen your empathic skills to your best advantage. Here are 4 rare superpowers that each empath has:

1. Read the minds of others.

Having a psychic ability is a rare gift that empaths possess. While everyone is able to read the minds of others, taking the clues of their body language and verbal discourse, empaths take it a little further by receiving psychic images, statements, nuances or smells. They are exposed to realities that go beyond those of an ordinary person.

Being an empath, you are able to walk a step further in someone else’s shoes and know exactly how it feels to be like them.

You can help others by guiding them back to the truth when you feel they are lying even if they think they are doing the exact opposite. You can easily learn from the mistakes or success of other people and even avoid twists or wrong discussions when you feel they are coming. You can use it to your best advantage.

2. Being your own emotional hero.

Feeling the emotions of others and at the same time feeling your own can be a burden. But if you know how to discern and use it for your emotional growth, you will have a superpower with which not everyone has the opportunity to play. Self-empathy is listening to your own feelings and thoughts and acting with compassion towards yourself. Perceiving this could help you communicate properly with others.

Let’s say someone commented: This president is going to ruin the nation. Upon hearing this, your internal dialogue may respond: This person has no idea how everyone is affecting the nation and the planet, and other factors are also contributing to it. He is an imbecile. However, when you are aware of how your thoughts flow, you will honor them and communicate them in a more loving way. Then you can transform your internal dialogue into a more positive one.

You would probably say: What this person says may be alarming to me because he disagrees with my way of seeing the world, but I do not want to disagree with this person either. From your emotional place, you are likely to respond to this person: Yes, each of us may be ruining the world, but we could also make it a better place by sharing our thoughts, actions, and positivity each day. This statement can expand the other person’s awareness and also shows their alignment with their purpose. Be aware of your emotions and think that the flow of emotions is a superpower indeed if you use it right!

3. Transmuting the negativity that you feel.

Empaths are extremely aware of the negative energies that surround them. Some empaths can recognize negative energies immediately, they will feel emotional repulsion towards someone and will have no idea why. They also have the ability to feel the negative energies that remain in a room where a previous discussion or negative conversation took place.

When you feel this negative energy, you have the power to turn it into positive energy. You can do a five-minute Tonglen meditation, or bring plants and flowers that have a lot of energy to a place with little energy. You can also say positive and encouraging words and thoughts to people affected by negativity.

If you can find humor in the situation, apply it. Laughter is the best way to create positivity and can lighten the mood of everyone. The mere fact of being aware of negative energies gives them the advantage of not being influenced by them and the opportunity to transmute them into positives.

4. Using your sensitivity to acquire a highly coveted skill.

As an empath, you find yourself with many annoyances. Your nose rebels against certain odors, your stomach may suffer from gastrointestinal discomfort caused by inorganic foods, you need a quieter environment to sleep and even time alone where you can discharge all the smells, sights, sounds and emotions that you have absorbed throughout the day.

Instead of focusing on these annoyances, you can twist it for your benefit. You could become a perfumer and create your own company using natural aromas. You could start your own organic food business, or you could start providing quiet spaces like gardens, libraries or meditation rooms that not only benefit you but also others. You never know how others would appreciate your gift. Everything you are most sensitive about is something that your senses perceive better than others. Use that!

As long as you accept your sensitive nature and find ways in which you can use it fully for your benefit, you can expand your empathic skills, fulfilling the purpose of your life. Empathy is a superpower alone and, however, it also comes with other superpowers. Only you can make it a blessing instead of a curse. Better yet, a superpower!
