5 Psychophysical Cues that Reveal that Your Spiritual Self is Getting Lost

At times, all of us are moving away from our spiritual path. This is perfectly normal. We do not operate in automatic mode. Your soul has your truth and your spirit is the part that must follow this truth that climbs tops. But sometimes, our mind can go astray.

The rebalancing and reconnection are part of our earthly challenge when we lose alignment. But most people do not even realize that their minds are going in the wrong direction.

To help you, here are 5 psychophysical signs revealing that your spiritual self is taking the wrong direction:

1. You feel tired.

It is normal to be tired at the end of a day’s work. But if your tiredness persists even after sleeping, it may be deeper than you think.

Walking in the wrong direction deeply depletes your energy.
Areas to consider:

  • Ask yourself if you have been authentic with yourself.
  • Look at your dreams and determine what they are telling you.
  • Practical advice: Meditate. Pray and listen carefully to the answers and interpretations of your dreams.
  • Walk or exercise to circulate energy.
  • Use your spine. Wake up to your deepest being by reloading the spine. This is done either by a posture of sitting meditation or by rotations of the spine.
To rotate the spine, stand up and anchor your feet firmly on the floor, hip-width. Straighten your arms and lift them up to your shoulders, turn gently from left to right, back and forth for 1 to 3 minutes and feel your energy return.
  • Use essential oils. Clear and animate your mind with rosemary and lemon.

2. Your breathing is irregular.

The word “spirit” comes from the Latin word “spiritus” which means breath.

So, when your mind is not relaxed, your breathing is changed, depending on the weight of your emotions such as anxiety, anger, and stress.

Areas to consider:

– Look in your body where the tension is persistent.

– Look for parts that need more personal attention.

Practical advice:

  • Forgive. Forgiveness has a liberating power that frees you once you forgive yourself or forgive others.
  • Make a rhythmic breath 4-7-8. When you relax your body, take a deep breath into your belly and count to 4, hold your breath up to 7, then exhale for 8, emptying your lungs completely. Repeat the process until you feel completely relaxed.

3. You have trouble concentrating.

In an attempt to catch up with the “busy world” of our society, you could become overly involved in many activities you do not really want to participate in.

As a result, your concentration suffers and you do not even know what to do to get started. You feel that you are always late and in a hurry.

Areas to consider:

– Look for areas where you have too much involvement.

– Look for your priorities for the day and the days to come.

– Find the time of day when it is possible to create more space for you.

Practical advice:

  • Preserve your time. Never put too much on your plate.
  • Use tools to manage your projects. Whether on a calendar or an application, plan your projects well.
  • Try visualization meditation. Try to create 50-minute “productivity blocks” for each hour of work, with short breaks of 5 to 10 minutes. At each break, see how you want your next hour to go.
  • Use peppermint oil. Peppermint increases concentration. Rub a drop of peppermint oil on your house.

4. You feel extreme sadness.

Deep sadness is often the product of our broken heart in one way or another.

Taking the wrong direction can be the cause of this sadness because it means you are turning away. You might even be depressed if you try to ignore these emotions.

Areas to consider:

– Feel on your body where you can cling to sadness.

– Ask yourself what kind of sadness you feel.

– Look for the shadows you are trying to hide.

Practical advice:

  • Show gratitude. Gratitude removes sadness or anger. Cite 5 to 10 things you are grateful for during the day and watch how your perception of the world changes.
  • Send a note. If you do not appreciate someone, sending a heartfelt note can make things better.
  • Use essential oil of grapefruit. Mix a few drops of grapefruit essential oil in a glass of water, then feel the positivity and joy that the grapefruit provides.

5. You are more irritable than usual.

When there is an imbalance in you, your nerves are affected. Sometimes it’s because the chemicals in your body are trying to find a balance.

Areas to consider:

– Watch for caffeine, sugar or alcohol.

– Monitor your sleep patterns and the length of your sleep.

– Observe your weight and diet and make sure it is healthy.

– See if you are fulfilled in your life as a couple.

Practical advice:

  • Eat vegetables and fruits. Be sure to include cereals and leafy fruits in your diet.
  • Stay hydrated. Be sure to drink at least 1.5l of water a day.
  • Use essential oils. Clary sage, sandalwood, and thyme help balance your hormones.

Our body is a sacred temple where our spirit resides. It is our duty to preserve it, nurture it, and keep it connected to our higher self.
