10 Signs You Need To Move Up to Higher Levels of Consciousness

We are multidimensional beings. Our consciousness extends from the lower dimensions to the higher dimensions of reality. Our Higher Self is on these higher layers while our Ego and lower Selves operate on lower realities. But all of our layers work together to help us grow and evolve.

Our awareness moves up and down the layers of our consciousness in a tidal manner in order to help us grow our consciousness to even higher levels and evolve into higher beings. But sometimes we can get stuck on the lower levels of reality.

Lower levels of reality force us to focus primarily on our physical survival. Sticking to them means focusing only on sexuality, self-image, power, pleasure, self-acceptance, greed, and tribal programming that protects us from predators.

When we connect to the higher levels of reality, we focus on exploring the higher parts of our consciousness. We progress with our spiritual evolution, the purpose of our soul, and the achievement of higher vibrations for ourselves and the world.

While the lower layers of our supporting our physical survival, getting stuck in these lower dimensions prevents us from reaching our highest human potential and what we live for. Here are the signs that indicate you’ve been stuck on those lower layers for too long. If you find yourself in some of them, you must immediately raise your consciousness to higher levels.

1. You feel the need to identify with a group:

Tribal programming is always running through your veins if you feel the need to belong to a certain group. It is okay to belong, but there’s no need to. The state of needing indicates that you are missing something for your survival.

True belonging is not found within a group but within each individual. And when a few people resonate with the other’s purpose and ideals, they create a group. Group goals can be sublime, but as long as you are looking to find a group jus so that you can feel like you belong, you aren’t solving your problem.

It’s a momentary solution that blocks you. It does not open up new ways for you to connect with the divine within you. Even religious groups can make you feel trapped. It is only by walking on the path of your own personal spiritual journey that you will truly find your place.

2. Your thoughts aren’t original:

When you are asked for your opinion, you are not responding from your own point of view. Instead, you go through the opinions of others that are stored in your head and have them as the benchmarks of your thought patterns.

Most often these are common and widely accepted thought-forms.

3. You do not question other people’s truths and beliefs:

10 Signs that You Should Move up to Higher Levels of Consciousness (2)You accept without question and curiosity every belief and truth that authority figures give you. You don’t stop and try to verify the validity because you trust the authorities strongly and rely on their opinions.

Once these truths are challenged by anyone, you may feel in fear or threatened.

4. You’re loyal to a group you know is wrong:

Even if you find yourself associating with a group that has no merit, you still do not question its moral or social authority.

5. Your time is equivalent to money:

You always trade your time with money or money with your time, because that is the only reality you perceive.

You have no knowledge of time warps or intuitive abilities because these things are related to higher levels of consciousness.

6. You define your self-worth by the things that you get:

Getting something from the tribe not only refers to material possessions but also includes the attention, recognition, certifications, honor, and rewards that you get that are important to you.

If you define yourself only by these external things, it means that you have not found, or that you have forgotten the true source of your self-worth within you.

7. You believe wealth and physical attractiveness give you power:

10 Signs that You Should Move up to Higher Levels of Consciousness (3)Because you live in the lower realities, your life is all about making an effort to maintain your physicality and gain the respect of others. You are doing everything to make yourself physically attractive and to earn more money which can provide you with the luxurious life you want to live so that others can be drawn to you.

There is nothing wrong with staying attractive and earning more. It is only destructive when you see it as the only source that can empower you and earn the respect of others.

8. You think you have no default right to be:

You don’t feel you have the right to be, so you keep asking for blessings and validation from the tribe. Maybe you even live your life being scared all the time. You are looking for security from the outside and you cannot find it within yourself.

You think you have to earn the right to be, and you don’t believe that you already have it because you already exist. If these things apply to you, you are living stuck in the lower levels of reality and you must raise the levels of your consciousness through spirituality.

9. You seek approval for every decision you make:

You cannot make a life decision without the approval of your family, friends, peers, or even society. Even if it’s about your personal life, like choosing the right career, the right romantic partner, or the types of friends you surround yourself with, you don’t do it alone because you’re afraid to take responsibility for your decisions.

You are obsessed with how others would react or think. It is much safer to involve them in the process but it takes away the personal power that you inherently have.

10. You feel that giving time to your personal journey is selfish:

A spiritual journey is a lone journey, which means that you cannot take anyone with you. You feel selfish doing inner work because it can feel like betraying the tribe who doesn’t want you to think differently from them. Additionally, it can also mean that you spend less time caring for others while spending more time taking care of yourself.

This process may seem to break you apart, but when you are able to do it, you can clearly see that you can help others more by helping yourself first. This is how operating in the higher consciousness feels like.

If you find yourself in any of the above signs, you should immediately move on to higher levels of consciousness. Start spiritual practices like meditation, yoga, read spiritual books, and trust your inner guidance. Remember the purpose and the inner journey of your soul.
